May 9, 2008 · No Comments

I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.

We Lost Our Oldest Customer Today…..

September 29, 2007 · No Comments

In the late 1970’s United Airlines produced an advert that spoke more to “business values” than it did for “air travel.”  A company president laments the loss of his oldest customer, realizes that the familiar way of doing business has become so much more impersonal and electronic, rather than the old face-to-face, relationship based, handshake to seal the deal way of conducting business.  Life-long customers were expected and they were built on “relationships.”  He has a plan to set this right, and shares it with his team.

This advert was done prior to e-mail, the Internet, wireless phones, pda’s and the other electronic tools that have become standard in our work.   It is as relevant today as it was 30 years ago, maybe more so.  View the video below and see how the mesage resonates with you.  The overarching theme of the advert has stayed with me ever since I saw it for the first time. I’m so pleased that it can be viewed on YouTube today.  Take a look and then share your comments!

AWE 2007 Telesummit - (No Cost) Workbook and Presentations Available

September 19, 2007 · 1 Comment

The Association of Web Entrepreneurs (AWE) held its inagural 2007 Telesummit on Tuesday September 18.  The event was 100% free.  If you attended or were unable to attend, the Workbook and Presentations are available (at no cost) for you.  The calls were incredible, very educational and inspiring.

To gain access to the Workbook and all of the presentations, all you need to do is to go to the site
http://aweconnect.com/blog/2007-awe-telesummit/  scroll down to the entry boxes and register.

Your registration (very easy) sends you an email with the link to the materials, the passcode and will get you the following:

  • AWE Telesummit Workbook - a collection of articles and tools authored by the featured speakers
  • Additional links inside the Workbook which access some additional tools for download which were too large to fit
  • All of the recorded presentations in MP3 format.

These speakers provided the content and their expertise for the Telesummit:

  • Vicki Viertel - Time Management Secrets
  • Penny Sansevieri – Red Hot Internet Publicity
  • Stefanie Hartman – Marketing Strategies from the Guru’s
  • Raleigh Pinkskey – Maximizing Your Biz-Ability with Viz-Ability
  • Sheri McConnell – Building a Membership-Based Business
  • Adam Urbanski – How to Build a Bigger Biz in Less Time
  • Christina Merkley - Allow Yourself to Become Your Next Self

The biographies of the presenters can be found on the AWE 2007 Telesummit page.

The AWE is a membership organization created (and managed) by Sheri McConnell, dedicated to the personal and professional education of people and companies who use the Web for Internet Marketing and Promotion.  All of the details about the AWE (and how to join) can be found at http://www.aweconnect.com.

Sheri McConnell hosts an (almost) weekly free teleseminar that you are welcome to participate in.  The teleseminar is called ”Success on the Web,” and (even as a guest) you can get access to the current call as well as the archive of all of the previous calls.  All you need to do is to sign up for the AWE newsletter so you can be informed of upcoming calls and get access to the dial-in number if you want to participate “live.”

If you are a Web Entrepreneuer, you will want to gain your (free) access to the Workbook and Presentations.  Get access to them today at http://aweconnect.com/blog/2007-awe-telesummit/, and tell others who might be interested.
